Player nets €3.1 million jackpot on Yggdrasil’s Joker Millions

One lucky online player has scooped a whopping €3.1 million jackpot – with a €1.25 bet on Yggdrasil’s Joker Millions. The unnamed player placed the nominal bet on the popular progressive jackpot game on his laptop.

He won the jackpot in April – only months after a LeoVegas player won a phenomenal €7.83 million on Joker Millions in November 2018. This was the biggest jackpot ever triggered on the Yggdrasil Gaming game. The Swedish player bet only €0.50 on the mobile platform to win the life-changing sum.

The latest win for another lucky online slots fan is Joker Millions’ second biggest win since its launch in 2015. Yggdrasil has offices in Gibraltar, Sweden, Poland and Malta, with its list of clients including some of the biggest online casinos in the world.

Classic game

Joker Millions boasts a classic feel, powerful game features, a built-in jackpot and intuitive gameplay. It was popular with slots fans from the outset and quickly became a flagship title in the Yggdrasil collection. It can be played on both mobile and desktop devices.

CEO of Yggdrasil Fredrik Elmqvist says they are delighted to be able to reward Yggdrasil slots fans with massive prizes. Betsson is one of Yggdrasil’s longest-standing partners, so the CEO is particularly thrilled that the jackpot has been won on the casino’s website.

Joker Millions was Yggdrasil’s first global progressive jackpot title. It features five reels and 25 pay-lines. The idea is that it plays like an old-school slots game. Yggdrasil’s second progressive jackpot title, Empire Fortune, was rolled out in 2016.

Biggest slots win

The world record for the biggest online slot machine win in history was paid out in January 2013, when a Finnish man in his 40s netted a staggering €17.8 million on the Mega Fortune progressive jackpot game. He had placed a bet of 25 cents on an online slot machine, run by the Scandinavian company, PAF.

The second biggest online jackpot of £13.2 million was won by a British soldier playing the slots at a Betway Casino at 25p per spin. Jonathon Haywood, 26, of Cheshire, went public with his win in October 2015.

Slots remain one of the most popular online gambling choices in the world. Psychologists say people love slots because there are no complex rules to learn. All players need to do is decide which game they fancy playing and spin the reels.
